3rd Annual NVPN Harvest Celebration

Join the Northern Virginia Pagan Network for their 3rd Annual Fall Harvest Celebration!

Saturyda, September 27, 2008

This year, we will gather under the trees to celebrate the bounty of the harvest that has been brought in so far.  As we notice that the days are getting shorter and prepare for the cold time of the year we will reflect on what we have accomplished this Summer and consider those projects or areas of growth we’re still working on.  We will also take some time to seek wisdom from the Gods for those things we should focus on during the dark phase of the year.

We'll have a full day of activities!  This year, we'll have a workshop, ritual, time for lawn games, pot-luck dinner and we'll close the day with a bonfire with drumming, singing, dancing and general merriment.

The general schedule:
1:30pm - Workshop on Kitchen Witchery.  Bring a recipe to share.

3:00pm - Ritual

4:00pm - Various lawn games & socializing after ritual

5:00pm - Pot-luck dinner.  We'll have a grill available to grill burgers & hot dogs.  Bring a pot-luck contribution and any other meat you would like grilled.

7:30pm - BONFIRE!  During the bonfire, we'll burn the offerings from the ritual. Bring your drums and we'll drum, dance, sing and enjoy each other's company.

There is space available to camp overnight.  When you RSVP, please let us know if you intend to camp so we can let our hosts know how many people to expect.

Please note that although this will be on private property, we would like this to be a comfortable event for everybody so clothing is required.  Feel free to wear your festive ritual attire!

We welcome all to attend this celebration of the bounty of the Earth, the bounty of friendships and a celebration of our Pagan community!
