Who is theNorthern Virginia Pagan Network?The Northern Virginia Pagan Network was incorporated as a Nonstock Corporation in the state of Virginia on February 14, 2007. We are in the process of establishing as a nonprofit organization for our 501c(3) with the IRS. Below is a list of our current officers:
NVPN Articles of Incorporation: ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION NORTHERN VIRGINIA PAGAN NETWORK Articles of Incorporation of the undersigned, who are citizens of the ARTICLE I - Name The name of the Corporation shall be Northern Virginia Pagan Network. ARTICLE II – Purpose It is intended that the organization shall be entitled to exemption from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and shall not be a private foundation as described in section 501(a) of the Code. The purpose of the Northern Virginia Pagan Network “NVPN” is to encourage and facilitate networking and strengthening of community bonds between the diverse people and groups in the No part of the net earnings of the Corporation shall inure to the benefit of any private individual (except reasonable compensation paid for services rendered to or for the Corporation). No substantial part of the activities of the Corporation shall consist of carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation. The Corporation shall not participate in, nor intervene in any political campaign on behalf of, or against, any candidate for public office. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Articles, the Corporation shall not conduct or carry on any activities not permitted to be conducted or carried on by an organization exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code, or by an organization to which contributions are deductible under Section 170(c)(2) of such Code. ARTICLE III – Membership The NVPN shall have membership classes as defined within the By-Laws. At least one class of members shall have the authority to elect the Board of Directors. ARTICLE IV – Election of Directors The Directors will be elected annually by the Membership for terms defined within the By-Laws. The number and composition of the Directors will be defined within the By-Laws. ARTICLE V – Registered Agent The initial Registered Agent of the Corporation who is an initial Officer of the Corporation and a resident of the State of ARTICLE VI – Registered Address The initial registered address of the Corporation is ARTICLE VII – Initial Trustees The names and addresses of the persons who are the initial Directors of the Corporation are as follows: Faye

ARTICLE VIII – Dissolution Upon dissolution of the Corporation the assets of the Corporation shall be distributed exclusively to charitable, religious, or educational organizations which qualify under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3), or successor, Section of the Internal Revenue Code. No member, director, or officer of the Corporation, or any private individual, shall be entitled to share in the distribution or division of any of the corporate assets on dissolution of the Corporation.
